AUSTIN, Texas — The Miami Gardens football program announced Monday that Micky, the son of NFL legend Greg Hardy, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the school’s sexual misconduct policy.

The program said the decision came after a hearing with the football program’s head coach.

“As a result of a student’s conduct, we have taken the step of suspending Micky for the remainder of the 2017 season,” the program said in a statement.

“We will continue to look for ways to work with our student-athletes to address the issues that have been raised in regards to this matter.”

Hardy, a former University of Georgia running back, has served as the football coach at Miami for two seasons.

The Dolphins are scheduled to host the Minnesota Vikings in a preseason game on Sept. 11.

Miami, which plays at the University of Houston on Sept:30, is also playing host to the Atlanta Falcons, who host Miami on Sept.:21.

The Miami team announced Monday it will meet with the league on Oct. 1 about potential sanctions, but did not say when.
