Birmingham has a long history of forest restoration.

The city is home to the largest urban forest in Britain, and was the first to introduce greenhouses, and even built its own greenhouse, at the turn of the 20th century.

But the city has struggled to maintain its forests.

In the last century, the city’s forests have suffered from a combination of the ravages of a devastating drought, and a decline in population.

In recent years, urban forests have been the focus of a new wave of conservationists, with more than 1,000 acres of the city currently under conservation, according to the Birmingham Forest Trust.

The group has been working to bring back forests, and it hopes to help bring back as many as 2,000 trees in the next few years.

Birmingham is also home to a number of other conservation initiatives, including the Birmingham Botanical Garden, which opened in 2010.

The gardens has been home to more than 30,000 plants, from the rare to the common.

The garden’s main mission is to showcase the diversity of the local flora and fauna, and to educate visitors about the importance of the environment.

The botanical garden has been open to the public since 2009, and the gardens website currently lists more than 3,000 plant species.

“It’s an incredibly valuable and unique resource, and we are so fortunate to have it here,” said Rob Griffiths, executive director of the Birmingham Garden Conservancy, which owns and operates the gardens.

Griffiths said he had hoped to bring the gardens to life by opening a full-fledged forest next year, but had been disappointed by the lack of funding.

The new plan would allow the gardens, which include a full collection of native plants and trees, to open up their collection to the general public.

“Birmingham has a great opportunity here to do that,” he said.

“We want to bring this amazing natural environment back to life.

The first step is to give the public a chance to come out and see what we’re up to.”

The new project is part of a larger effort by the city to restore the environment through sustainable development.

In January, the Birmingham city council approved a proposal to build an eco-park, complete with an urban green space, at Birmingham’s waterfront, and expand the green space at the city center.

The council also approved the development of a green space for the city parks department, which would include a small forest that would be used for gardening, and help protect the city from the effects of stormwater.

The project, however, is not the only effort the city is making to restore its forests, with plans to restore up to 15,000 hectares of forest by 2020.

A project called Birmingham Forest Gardens aims to provide an environmentally responsible way for people to experience the natural beauty of the forest, and provide an outlet for local people to explore their city and their surroundings.

“There is a need to have this sort of environment and habitat in our city, and I think this is a great way to do it,” Griffiths told Al Jazeera.

“You can see how beautiful the city and the countryside is when you go down to the river, or the sea, and you’re able to see the different landscapes that are there.”
